Application
::
-
PTSA is comparable in strength to mineral acids such as Sulphuric acid, but are especially suitable for organic reactions where an inorganic, mineral acid could cause charring, oxidation, or an unwanted chemical reaction.
-
It is most useful as acid-catalyst reaction such as esterification /condensation
/acetylation / polymerization/ alkylation’s/ hydrolysis /dehydration. · As a hardening agent of furan resin which is applied in foundry Industry (Sand Casting).
-
In Plasticizers industries mainly for
DEP/ DOP/ DBP – As esterification catalyst .· It is also used as curing agent for many resin system such as
mino/phenolic/acrylic resins/resoles / epoxies / amino-Plastics and furniture lacquers.
-
As an anti-stress additive for electroplating baths additive, plastics, coatings, dyes, pharmaceutical intermediates,
hydrotrope, coupling agent and as a wetting agent.
-
Also applicable for use in food packaging adhesives.
-
As intermediate of dye chemistry
-
In Butyl Acrylate manufacturing – As catalyst.· In Pharmaceutical industries is used for manufacturing of below product – As catalyst. CIPROFLOXACIN ,
Persantin, Naproxen DOXYCYCLIN SULPHAMETHAXAZOLE . And produce the intermediates of Amoxicillin , Cefadroxil .
