Stearamide (Nevamide – 23)/ Erucamide(Nevamide –EA). These chemicals are used --
As an antiblocking agent in plastics.
Excellent softner for cotton textiles.
As a slip agent in various wax resin coated papers.
Oil or alcohol or solvent dyestuff solubiliser in printing inks manufacture and as antiflashing agent.
As an intermediate for manufacturing methylol stearamide a water repellant for cellulosics.

N-METHYLOL STEARAMIDE
N-Methylol Stearamide ( Nevamide-33) is essentially used in textile finishes either alone or in conjunction with Resins, Cross Linkers such as melamine formaldehyde, Glyoxal based finishes etc. or synergistically as a water based extender for water/oil repellant flouro chemicals such as “ Scotchguard “ type of finishes.
Nevamide- 33 is also used for surface coating finishes for leather, paper etc. for achieving special surface treatment.
